On this episode of The Hive......we will be featuring an incredible organization....SPIT YOUR PEN. We will be speaking with the Founder Cortes Maria Lewis......and  President Germaine "FYI" Coleman.

SPIT YOUR PEN WILL BE INTRODUCING THEIR $1000 SLAM SCHEDULED FOR SEPT. 22 WITH PROCEEDS GOING TO THE WILL BELL FOUNDATION.

We will also have some of the SPIT YOUR PEN AWARD WINNERS spit live on the show.

In founding SPIT YOUR PEN Cortes Maria Lewis stepped into purpose and destiny. SPIT YOUR PEN was birthed out of the loss of Will "Da Real One" Bell. June 8, 2011 was the first planning meeting. In this meeting Poetry Festival and Conference came into existence. Four heads came together and brainstormed how we could keep the life legacy and positive spirit of Will Bell alive.

As GOD downloaded His vision we wrote it and it became plain. Our first event was a poetry awards show. April 28, 2012 marked history for the spoken word culture here in South Florida. SPIT YOUR PEN Poetry Awards Show was the first of its kind here in South Florida.

We are now in preparation for our first $1000 Slam with proceeds going to the Will Bell Foundation.  The Will Bell Foundation will be unveiled on September 22, 2012.
SPIT YOUR PEN is a movement that desires for people to be accountable to the words in which they speak.
