BLACKFISH: Your Calls & Thoughts with Christopher Reburn

In January 2014 I did a show about Blackfish, the eye-opening documentary that uncovered and exposed SeaWorld for decades of animal abuse, neglect and kidnapping baby orca whales from their beloved families in the world's oceans. This was a very powerful 'first show of the year' that touched so many of you. 

Since it's release and continued airings on CNN, Blackfish has been causing major waves at SeaWorld, including rapid declines in attendance and ticket sales and collective debates as to whether or not orca's belong in captivity. Millions of people from around the world have got onboard The Blackfish Effect, and continue to spread the world about the documentary in hopes of one day shutting down SeaWorld and releasing the orca's back into their natural environment.

Former SeaWorld trainer Samantha Berg (who was featured in the Blackfish movie) talks with us about her thoughts on Blackfish, SeaWorld and what will likely be the future for the beloved Tilikum. Samantha was most generous with her time and spent nearly 20 minutes with us when we were only scheduled for 3-5 minutes! Thanks again Samantha!
