As the mother of a 14 year old daughter who suffers with IIH I am really looking forward to listening to this broadcast. She was diagnosed Sept 07 with an opening pressure of +40. countless LP's and months of 1500mg daily Acetazolomide did not improve her symptoms so she was shunted in July 08.. She is doing great at the moment.. fingers crossed she gets a few years out of this shunt.. lol

I am really excited to speak with Dr. Tanne. I had a stroke at 32 and have been dealing with Intracranial Hypertension for 2 and a half years. I am in constant pain with crippling headaches and so much more. I live in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada and my neurologist is not helping me with my condition. My last LP was ebruay 12th and the opening pressure was 30 cm of H2o. they drained a whopping 20cc of fluid and my closing pressure was 16 cm of H2o. In November of 2007, my pressure was 25 cm of H2o
