In My Father's House

Luke Chapter 2 describes the birth of our Lord in the manger and His presentation in the Temple. In this broadcast we will delve into the prophetic implications of His coming on to this world, and how, through the Child, we can see what is to come.

 

Luk 2:6  And it came about that while they were there, the days were completed for her to give birth. 

Luk 2:7  And she gave birth to her first-born son; and she wrapped Him in cloths, and laid Him in a manger, because there was no room for them in the inn. 

 

Luk 2:34  And Simeon blessed them, and said to Mary His mother, "Behold, this Child is appointed for the fall and rise of many in Israel, and for a sign to be opposed-- 

Luk 2:35  and a sword will pierce even your own soul--to the end that thoughts from many hearts may be revealed." 

 

Luk 2:48  And when they saw Him, they were astonished; and His mother said to Him, "Son, why have You treated us this way? Behold, Your father and I have been anxiously looking for You." 

Luk 2:49  And He said to them, "Why is it that you were looking for Me? Did you not know that I had to be in My Father's house?" 

Luk 2:50  And they did not understand the statement which He had made to them.
