Thana Redhawk Woman’s Family is of Mexica (Azteca), Apache (Lipan), Cherokee (Goss Family)(Deer Clan) and Osage lineage. Her Family’s indigenous roots include Mexico, Texas, Oklahoma, Missouri and Georgia. Her Mexica (Azteca) Grandmothers (mothers side) were traditional Curanda healers/medicine women and is an inspiration on Redhawk Woman’s path. On her fathers side her Grandmother was a piano teacher and organist who influenced Redhawk Woman’s love and appreciation for music. Her awareness of the crystal skulls, star ancestry and ceremonial path influences Redhawk Woman and inspires her poetry/spoken word. Thana is an inspirational indigenous spoken word artist, published poet, 2014 West Coast American Indian/Indigenous Legends Award Winner for “Spoken Word”, Best Male Female Duo (Medz Hawk) Categories, and music producer on the Red Road. Her ambient, contemporary and dance music includes hand drum, native flute, Hawaiian nose flute and traditional shakers. Her eclectic music crosses over multiple musical genres. Other projects include Water is life... Merging the water projects...And water wheel ceremonies, Learning the Maya and Azteca calendar(s)Importance of shifting away from Gregorian calendar and mind control and Regenerating the use of industrial hemp for the betterment of Earth, the native nations and shift our self reliance and self governance in sovereignty, with the trade of this multi use natural plant, that was banned, but never should have been. Anything made from wood, cotton or oil.... Hemp can replace with less environment impact.
