A semi-pro football team will be playing out of Jackson next season. The Jackson Juggernauts are hoping to capitalize on athletes in the area who would like to strap on a helmet and play. The team is also looking to play for a purpose. "As far as the community goes, we'll be donating or dedicating three games a year as far as community drives, such as canned good drives, maybe uniform drives for the JPS school system, needy families," said Jackson Juggernauts General Manager Jason Lecompte said. "We have hurricane season coming up, so that can always be a possibility." The games will be on Saturdays at Newell Field.
