December 12, 2012 is a special date for many people around the world. For some, it is a magical number perfect for nuptial vows. Others are eagerly waiting in anticipation of the myths, rumors and speculation that the world will end according to some interpretations of the Mayan calendar as well as other religious beliefs. Will today be significant in our history? Why is the United States government issuing a message on the internet that the world is not going to end. Why are so many people succumbing to fear or is this actual preparation for events to come?
