Comicbook artists often throw their opinions into social and political debates through their character.  Recently, Superman was slated to revoke his US citizenship, not wishing to be seen as a representative of the US Government (bringing an end to the "American Way" part of the "Truth, Justice, and...").

A couple of lesser characters have also emerged this year.  Foreskinman fights to put an end to male-genital mutilation.  His nemisis is an evil Mohel, and the Jewish Community feels slandered by this comic.  In reponse, another artist has created Captain Israel, who fights all who would attack or oppress the Jewish peoples.

There have been other weird characters and politically motivated story-lines in comicbooks long history.  Tonight, TC and Jason show the depth of their inner-geeks and discuss some of those weirder characters.
