Dakota Travis and Steve Earnest have survived the zombie apocalypse for a whole month. Forced to travel away from their beloved safe home when a violent gang makes its presence known, they find shelter in a converted asylum with a group of soldiers. One of these soldiers, a man by the name of corporal Jamie Marks, fears for their safety when sergeant Brooks starts making irrational decisions and rearranging the chain of command. Regardless of this small issue, they have more to worry about other than who's in command or whose rank is higher than the other. When the zombies flock to the base and break in through the gate, Dakota is split away from his best friend.
