Last spring, three girls went missing. Nothing linked the cases except a frustrating lack of clues. Then, one of them turned up headless in Lake Michigan. With his boss on his back and his girlfriend threatening to leave unless he commits, Detective Cale Van Waring struggles to put the pieces together before another girl ends up missing -- or dead. About the author: Janson Mancheski is a practicing optometrist in both Green Bay and Shawano, Wisconsin, and from 1992 to 1999, he was the team eye doctor for the Green Bay Packers. Mancheski is currently at work on the next Cale Van Waring Adventure. Janson Mancheski is a University of Wisconsin -- Green Bay graduate. His optometry degree is from Illinois College of Optometry in Chicago. He functioned as team optometrist for the UW Green Bay Mens and Women's basketball teams from 1990 - 2005, and the Green Bay Packers from 1992 - 2000. Janson is an avid Green Bay Packers fan. He enjoys hobbies such as biking, horror films and novels, mysteries, and fencing. His screenplay "Nuck" won a Writer's Digest Award in 2002.
