Today on The Neil Haley Show, Neil will interview SINGER, SONGWRITER AND SOFT ROCK ICON LOBO.

Lobo releases two Christmas tracks today, written for the parents and grandparents around the world as they celebrate the holiday season.  Originally available only in Europe, “Late Christmas Eve” and “A Big Kid’s Christmas” are now on all major streaming services as an EP via Time Life. 

“The holidays are special for everyone, from kids on up through grandparents, so I wanted to write something a little different: songs from an adult’s point of view that tell the story of how a lot of us see Christmas,” Kent LaVoie (who records as Lobo) explains. “’A Big Kid’s Christmas’ is about grandma and grandpa and what Christmas means to them after all these years together. And ‘Late Christmas Eve’ reflects that moment when you and your spouse have finished putting all the presents out for the kids, it’s 11 o’clock and you’re worn out but swept up in the emotion of it all, cherishing that tonight’s all ours and tomorrow is theirs.”

LaVoie co-wrote the tracks with longtime collaborator Billy Aerts. “Christmas songs, to us, are wonderful in every possible way and we’re both just so proud of these songs,” he continues. “There’s so much true emotion in these songs that I think a lot of people will be able to relate to. And they were incredibly fun to make, too!”
