[audio mp3="http://traffic.libsyn.com/mjdigeronimo/021914.mp3"][/audio] Can you imagine if your friend shared with you his 524 goals for the next three years?  Further, imagine each goal was more ambitious than the next.  Earn a phD.  Win a gold medal at the Olympics.  Write a book.  Read a book each day.  Watch the commercials before the YouTube videos. . . . plus another 519 goals.  We would recommend he add, "spend a year in a rubber room with the nation's best therapists" to his list. However, this is PRECISELY what our elected officials would like us to believe.  Did you know that the President made 524 campaign promises?  524.  Let's say we counted wrong . . 501.  Or broke that in half, 250 (and 1/2) . . and then again 125.  Please stop the madness!  And you know whose fault it is  . . . ours.  That's right.  Why do we let politicians get away with promising root beer in the soda fountains (hat tip, Justin Anderson) and all of other wildest dreams?
