The Death of Fredie Grey has sparked chaos and confusion within the City of Baltimore, or has it? Yes, death has been known to produce a myriad of uncomfortable feelings such as Anger, Grief, Pain & VIOLENCE.
However, what we are witnessing is not a reaction from the wrongful death of one man, but the wrongful death of a race of people. Historically, the lives of African American males has been devalued, to say the least. However, most recently we have seen a blatant disregard for the safety and well being of these lives.
With that being said, do we bring this issue to forefront by displaying ourselves as unintelligent, ignorant people who lack the ability to see that the destruction of our own communities or any community is an act that does not serve in our own best interest?
