Welcome Everyone to The Gresham Family Reunion. This is by all accounts an original new concept that will guarentee you so much joy and inspiration. We pray it motivates all of us to unite and begin to write our history here in America. Our Slave Masters has done a good job of detailing theirs, but what about us. We have no more time nor excuses! Let us begin Today!

The Gresham family’s origin is from England. The name means ‘Grazing Land’ which indicated that they were known as farmers. They arrived in America possibly some time before 1711.
There is a document called the Importation Rights which essential is a slave trade registry of 1711 – 1718 that indicate the Gresham’s having slaves. Notably in the Virginia area near Richmond. Although my research is incomplete we have found that my lineage traces back to a specific area called King and Queen County. This is the area that the earliest slave plantations and property owned by the Gresham was recorded. It is from this area most Greshams entered into America.
