Michelle welcomes Onel Mulet, Producer/Artistic and Musical Director Onel is a multi-instrumentalist (saxophone, flute, percussion), composer and producer whose career spans almost three decades. Onel has performed in some of the most prestigious music festivals and concert venues across Europe, the Middle East and Latin America. Onel is co-founder with Neyda Martinez of HABANA | HARLEM™, a cultural production company, that nurtures the arts and humanities by advancing contemporary artistic innovation, building upon on the legacies of two world-class epicenters of black cultural production. Since 2005, HABANA | HARLEM™ has supported the work of artists through strategic partnerships, presentations, distribution, and promotion. Aisha Karefa-Smart interviews Ebeth is an African-American, single mom who loves food and was born to teach. Her passion and interest in food began as a young child with her easy-bake oven and continued as she chose to watch Yen Can Cook and Julia Child instead of the Smurfs on Saturday mornings. As an adult she developed her passion into an expertise through formal education at NYU, The Natural Gourmet Institute for Health and Culinary Arts and Cornell University. Ebeth has ten years’ experience as a food and wellness educator teaching children, teens and families how to cook and to eat for improved health and vitality.
