I will be interviewing Tibetan lama, H.E. Chokling Jigmed Palden Rinpoche, He is the founder of the Tharlam-Dronme Foundation, whose purpose is to save the Tibetan culture, restore Tibetan monasteries, and preserve the ancient transmission of Tibetan Buddhism. Another part of his mission is to establish Tibetan-speaking schools to teach Tibetan children their mother tongue, culture, and preserve their heritage. born in 1936, year of the Ox, in eastern Tibet on the day of Lha Bab Duchen (day of Buddha's descent from the gods' realms tot he human realm. As a child he was recognized as the incarnation of 19th century master, Chokgyur Linpa. He is in the lineage dating back to his supreme root guru H.H. 16th Gaylwa Karmapa Rangjung Rigpe Dorje. Rinpocheimmigrated to India in 1959 where he followed many gurus. At age 29 he began spending many years in retreat in India and Nepal.
