Arthur Kanegis is a writer, producer, humanitarian and president of FutureWAVE (Working for Alternatives to Violence through Entertainment). It is a nonprofit organization dedicated to telling stories that help plant the seeds for a less violent and more peaceful world.

What if there were no wars? What if it was expected that we treat one another with respect and dignity because we are a planet of peacemaking individuals? What if each of us looked at humankind as if it was we were all on the same team? I mean look at us. How much of a stretch would that be? Despite some coloration and feature issues, don’t we share similar DNA? We are the same species and can procreate with one another. If an alien were to draw us, we would each have two legs, two arms, and a head. So what if that alien asked “Take me to your leader,” and the answer in our future world was, “It’s all of us?”
My guest on this show is Arthur Kanegis, who has created a documentary to help promote just such a world, called The World is My Country and features the life story of Garry Davis who was the first Citizen to become a World Citizen.
