Were you aware that 8 MILLION CHILDREN are "ALONE," in the hospital right now with no visitors at all to hold or comfort them, even while they undergo life-saving treatments"? I find this unacceptable, and so did Gina Woods.
To be honest, I had no idea that the numbers were that staggering and just how necessary OwieBowWowie really was. Thank goodness creator and author Gina Woods did! Gina was so moved watching these children suffer by themselves (during her own hospital stay), that she thought to herself there must be something she could do to ease their anxiety, provide comfort and and give them a best friend to talk too when they were scared and all alone.

For the past 25 years, Gina has delivered OwieBowWowie and SMILES to thousands of hospitalized children and I want to thank her for the amazing job she is doing for the children, the hospital staff and the parents.
