Matt "Gutter" Van Buren is a professional mixed martial arts (MMA) fighter who currentling competes in the light-heavyweght division of the UFC. A veteran of Bellator MMA, he was a fianlist on The Ultimate Fighter: Team Edgar vs. Team Penn. He will take on fellow 205er Sean O'Connell at UFC Fight Night: McGregor vs. Siver on January 18th in Boston, Ma. Gutter is originally from Chesapeake, Va. and spent most of his career at Hybrid Training Center in Virginia Beach, Va. before moving to Southern California and joining Alliance MMA, training with Brandon Vera, Phil Davis, and Dominic Cruz among others.
