David "Caveman" Rickels is a professional mixed martial arts (MMA) fighter who currentling competes in the lightweight division of Bellator MMA. He was the Bellator Season 8 Lightweight Tournament Winner, a previous challenger for the Bellator Lightweight Championship as well as a semi-finalist in the Season 6 Welterweight Tournament and will be competing in the upcoming Season 10 Lightweight Tournament for a chance at becoming the No. 1 Contender again. David is scheduled to fight opposite Patricky "Pitbull" Freire in the co-main event and tournament opener of Bellator CXIII on Friday, March 21st, 2014.
