Accelerated Resolution Therapy (A.R.T.) is an innovative therapy based on accepted approaches known in psychotherapy today. A.R.T is a kind of bolus approach of what works best provided in one session, often achieving significant results on the first day. It is a mind/body approach utilizing eye movements while processing issues and emotions. A.R.T. targets negative images and sensations (feelings) in order to bring resolution to problems. The eye movements are calming and seem to help with memory and creativity. Research has shown it to help with PTSD, depression, pain and sleep issues. If a person is motivated, can move their eyes from side to side, and hold a thought, they may benefit from A.R.T.
