According to the National Institute of Occupational Safety & Health, job stress results when the requirements of the job do not match the capabilities, resources or need of the workers. Job Stress can lead to poor health and injury. The conditions that may cause stress are the design of the task, management styles, interpersonal relationship, work roles, and environmental conditions. Job stress increases absentees and tardiness, employee turnover, poor leadership, and poor decision making among others.
