TheDavidBowersAwards kicks off 2020, our seventh year, with two very original groups from opposite sides of the country that are guranteed to move you.

The Reverent Cavaliers  are based in Nashville and add a rock edge to some solid blues underpinnings.  They give us some great indie rock with an upbeat lyrical message.

Blind Lemon Peel is an LA-based New Orleans blues/funk show band that has been credited as "the hottest name on the SoCal blues scene" by the Orange County Blues Society.
