Repentance is the Key: Do you have a True Friend

It has often been said that “A friend is someone who accepts you just as you are”. But is this worldly proverb in line with the teaching of the Bible, or merely the bi-product of a wicked generation? There was a time when being called a friend was the greatest title you could bestow on another. Friendship was not given but rather earned. It grew over time and blossomed from love and trust. But in today’s world this title can be bestowed by clicking the “Add Friend” tab on any social networking site. We boast of having thousands or friends despite the fact that they have never met face to face or shared one meaningful conversation. But just how damaging is this newly defined concept of the Friend?  The Bible warns us that in these last days “Perilous times shall come and the Love of Many shall Wax Cold”.  This means that now, more than ever it is important for us to know who our true friends are.
