Vittorio Tolomeo

Vittorio Tolomeo started out writing songs, playing drums, guitars and singing in Messina Italy. He played in some bands. The most important has been Noema, in which he had been playing for more than ten years. The band recorded “La Danza”, released by Italian indipendent label Toast. Afterwards, Demo Radio Rai 1, the most important radio broadcast for new bands in Italy, promoted a compilation, “2 Rock”, released by Rai Trade. In this record was included the song “Aria” that previously had been the signature tune of the broadcast as well. Noema played a lot of gigs far and wide in Italy all through the years. He settled in Milano a few years ago and started out his solo career playing acoustic shows. After writing some songs in English, he decided to keep on in this way, going back in time to the first years of his songwriting. He has always considered English as a natural consequence of his background and musical roots. The new record, “Prize Day”, comes into being from these emotions.It’ s about rhythm and energy. Vittorio Tolomeo loves to picture it as a crossroad where the romantic obsession of the new wave meets funk and soul. The video of the song "Migrant Soul" is currently in rotation on All Music (now Deejay TV), the most important music video channel in Italy along with MTV.
