Bill Garrigan was a loving father, husband, brother and grandfather. He lived his life like most average middle of the road Americans and had reached a comfortable retirement after years of being a business consultant. All was good but most people have some kind of a breaking point and Bill reached his after his granddaughter was gunned down in a school shooting- just one of several mass shootings that has traumatized the nation for decades. Before his grandchild's death, Bill lost his wife to illness and his brother, who had been victimized by a priest and bullied most of his younger years, found that living was too difficult and committed suicide. Bill was also consumed by the horrific direction that America was headed in. Extremists on both ends of the political spectrum were channeling their hateful and destructive rhetoric to their base of supporters, while middle America watched on, mostly trying to just live their lives in peace.
