Kurt Hahn, co-founder of Outward Bound, started using the wilderness in Scotland to help heal young people and the organization in the 1950s became worldwide and very popular explained Graham Cook, a consultant in England to Lon April 18, 2017. He continued one of the spinoffs in the states was various successful wilderness therapy programs.  Graham further explained that due to obstacles and barriers from the UK authorities, wilderness therapy never became established in the UK like it had in the states.  Listen to Cook explain how a pilot program this year in Scotland is bringing wilderness back to Scotland.  [Our thanks to Rich Simpson, owner of Pathways Abroad for providing our intro music]
