Do you sense a serious communication barrier with your daughter or mother? Jennifer Maddock and Kim Williams-Redmond of Elevations RTC in Utah joined Lon March 13, 2015 to explain how they do mother-daughter retreats and some of the benefits the participants reported afterwards. As part of the ElevationsRTC program, in two days and one night in a camping situation, a group of mothers and daughters join together to play, share, support, and seriously talk with each other. In a situation of having fun, communication barriers are broken down and mothers and daughters have fun together, sometimes for the first time in years. Years later, the participants often still talk about how wonderful and healing the experience was.
