The Apostolic Ministry Within the Church

In today's broadcast Bishop Peter will be discussing an aspect of Eccesiology concerning the place of the Apostolic Ministry within the Church and, more specificlly, the early Christian concept of Apostolic Succession. All authority, in heaven and on earth, has been given to Jesus Christ by virtue of His passion and resurrection. The authority of Christ has been delegated and placed within the Church through the original apostles. How was this apostolic ministry understood in the New Testament? How was this apostolic ministry and authority passed on to succeeding generations within the Church? What did this apostolic ministry look like in the centuries following the first generation of the early followers of Jesus? These are just some of the questions that we will be examining in today's broadcast.
