OM

Today is Day 5 of Navaratri, the nine days of worshipping the Devine Mother Goddess whose primeval energy manifests the universe out of consiousness.  Joyous greetings to all VAC readers as we worship, pray to, meditate on, and celebrate her glories in homes, temples and community halls all around the world.

In the Vedas the great goddess is lauded as Aditi, the mother of all the devas and devis who represent different powers and aspects of the unmanifest Brahman.  In Samkhya she is called Prakriti, in the Tantras she is Lalita, and in the Puranas she is the tripartite Durga, Lakshmi and Sarasvati, the three shaktis paired with Shiva, Vishnu, and Brahma.

In this VAC broadcast we shall provide an introduction to the Anandian goddess tradition, which has been adoring and worshipping the Devine Feminine with joyous love and devotion for over ten thousand years.
