“Saved & Ratchet”? Isn’t that an oxymoron? Is it acceptable to be saved and ratchet?
Ratchet is popular urban term that many use today to describe a person, or activity, that is out of hand, out of control, generally whack in some way. And many of us think that this term could not possibly apply to us with our "saved" selves. But this term has levels.
It has become socially acceptable to be self-interested, to have no self- control over our mouths or discipline in our actions, having no integrity, mercy, compassion or love, but confessing to be a follower of Christ, while blaming our lack of being perfect and God knowing our hearts to justify our "ratchetness".
