'New Artist of the Year' and 'Modern Rock Vocalist' Wammie winner, Margot played with her band at the 2009 Washington Area Music Awards revealing formidable vocal strength and emotional depth in her powerful heartrending ballad 'Hold On' that segued into a spine-tingling cover of Led Zeppelin’s 'Immigrant Song'." This was just a teaser for the music on the teen's 2009 album release, WALLS, which landed Margot on the Grammy's first round ballot for New Artist, Best Rock Vocal Performance (Immigrant Song) and Best Rock Album of the Year (WALLS). Margot will join Michelle on The Open Stage on Monday, January 25 at 8:30 p.m. to talk about her upcoming shows at the 9:30 CLUB, The Barns at Wolf Trap, and her appearance at the Hope for Haiti Benefit Concert at BlackRock Center for the Arts on January 30th. We'll also play some songs from her WALLS CD.
