In the first half hour, my guest is NATHAN WINOGRAD, one of this country’s great animal advocates. Nathan is the Director of the national No Kill Advocacy Center www.NathanWinograd.com. He’s held a variety of leadership positions including director of operations for the San Francisco SPCA and executive director of the Tompkins County SPCA, two of the most successful shelters in the nation. He has spoken widely on animal sheltering issues, has written animal protection legislation, and has created successful No Kill programs in both urban and rural communities, and Nathan is the author Redemption: The Myth of Pet Overpopulation and the No-Kill Revolution in America. Redemption won five national book awards and redefined the animal protection movement in the United States.

NOTE: See my March 14 Huffington Post article, entitled “Let’s Save Our Best Friends”. It provides a number of strategies for converting kill shelters to no-kill shelters.

My guest in the second half hour is JACK NADEL, world-renowned entrepreneur.  Jack is author of the new book, Use What You Have To Get What You Want: 100 Basic Ideas That Mean Business.  Jack is on a mission - to boost entrepreneurship in America. He is founder of Jack Nadel International ( www.nadel.com ) — today the gold standard of the promotional marketing business. He has founded, acquired and operated more than a dozen companies. At a very sharp 87 years of age, there is no one alive today who can match Jack’s 65 years of successful entrepreneurial experience; and he’s become an “elder statesman” of business wisdom who can provide the insights and inspiration to entrepreneurs of all stripes.
