Evolutionary Enlightenment

Join us for a conversation with progressive spiritual teacher and author, Andrew Cohen, to discuss his new book Evolutionary Enlightenment.  According to Cohen we are in the midst of a “postmodern predicament” –a natural result of the breakdown of traditional and religious ways of giving meaning to our lives, which has left so many people spiritually and existentially adrift.  The Spiritual Self-Confidence that is needed to combat this issue can, in part, be found though connection-having relationships with other people.  This is where enlightenment occurs.  Cohen has a unique angle on the relationship between our many social issues-economic, political, environmental-and he suggests that we need a new kind of spirituality, one that can stand the test of our rational world, in order to give us the perspective and inspiration to address the overwhelming challenges we face today.
