Steven "Stereo Faith" McPherson is a DC music institution rapidly rising to the same venerated veteran levels of those he admired as a youth in the city, HR from Bad Brains, Chuck Brown, Henry Rollins and so many more. A musical encyclopedia and unquestionably mega talented professional, he is now the touring DJ for DC's next big act, hip hop performer of note Tabi Bonney. However, just over a month ago, Stereo Faith had a successful surgery to remove a tumor from his brain tha had pressed down upon the auditory nerves of his right ear, almost rendering him incapable of performing in what is ultimately his greatest contribution as a citizen of the world. This coming Friday, Stereo Faith makes an early return behind the decks to Mark Zimin's legendary Mousetrap party in DC at the Black Cat. We'll discuss Stereo Faith's career, as well as his newfound motivation as a DJ and possibly producer, as well as more discussion on the nature and history of DC music. Enjoy!
