During periods of economic downturn, many professionals find themselves between positions and many experienced businesspeople decide to start their own venture. When your career path allows you to hang your shingle as a consultant or service provider there are many elements of a small business plan and marketing systems to consider.

Ted Owen earned a reputation for excellence working with the Carlsbad Chamber of Commerce to improve awareness and build value messages for members. On networking, Ted likes to talk about netweaving instead of networking. On small business development, Ted has advice regarding the timing, the pitfalls, and the keys to launching and surviving in a competitive marketplace.
