Stacey was born in Brooklyn, New York, and now lives in Houston. She was an elementary school teacher and is currently an artist, author of two books, and a first-time filmmaker.  She founded her company, Poppy Pro Productions, in 2012 and is pleased to share her documentary, Unbreakable Threads, with you. 

Although the controversy surrounding same-sex families raising children has become more prevalent in recent years, laws and views on the topic are rapidly changing. Our film, Unbreakable Threads, portrays a personal and intimate perspective of same-sex families raising children in a society that is not always accepting. This film is trying to raise awareness of the ever-changing families of today.

This film follows several families in everyday situations and also incorporates experts’ views as well as high-profile interviews.

The stories presented show hope and acceptance, courage and adversity. These are the real families that are out there enjoying life. Stacey is married with three daughters.
