The Opposition of Christ and Religion: The Misconception Of Religion

6 Jesus said to him, “I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me. (John14:6)

Now if we are to believe that these "red letter" edition bibles are indicative of the very words Jesus, then he says that "except through Me" no one can come to the Father. In order to appropriately interpret what Jesus meant  - as opposed to what we subjectively think without adequate information - we may find some leads in the idea of the word religion as it is mentioned in the bible.

In the 21st century, the general concept of the word religion evokes almost a myriad of mental imagery, most of it being negative. In an effort to help us better understand how to worship God in a way that is (to Him) acceptable, here in this session the objective is to unpack - a preacher term for a researched explanation - the word in the context of the bible as opposed to the modern day church practice.
