"The meaning of poetry (and music) is to give courage" James Trimble of the Dirty Guv'Nahs describing their new album, Hearts on Fire which is now #1 on the Billboard's Heatseekers Chart.

RST Radio is proud to showcase the latest southern rock album from The Dirty Guv'Nahs, Hearts on Fire and share a heart-to-heart discussion with the lead singer for the band, James Trimble about its topics: addiction, suicide, hope, and love.

The Dirty Guv'Nahs have received rave reviews from almost every major magazine in the country.  The Boston Globe said, “THIS FIERCELY SOULFUL BAND HAS IT’S MUSICAL ROOTS PLANTED IN CLASSIC SOUTHERN ROCK, ROOTSY HEARTLAND COUNTRY-ROCK, DIRTY R&B AND COUNTRY STONES ELEMENTS, AND AMERICANA TRACES EVOCATIVE OF THE BAND.”

Based in Knoxville, TN where they've been voted Knoxville's Best Band every year since 2008, they've opened for big bands like Train, The Black Crowes, Wilco, Zac Brown Band and NEEDTOBREATHE.  Their music has been featured in five major network shows and they've had standout, popular performances at Bonnaroo, Wakarusa and SXSW.

This band has earned every bit of the praise and we celebrate their vision of hope, courage and LOVE.
