Soul Singer Tess Henley

Real Sisters welcomes true-blue, soul-singing sista Tess Henley to the table for conversation and great music.

Tess hails from what is quickly becoming the Capitol of Soul--Seattle, WA.  Chosen as one of IMR Magazine's top Indie Women, she has several albums and a major musical contest win under her belt, and now she's anticipating the May 7th release of her hot new album, High Heels and Sneakers with Dice Raw from The Roots.  

Tess says her new album is a reflection of all her musical influences: organic, old soul with a twist.  We'll play some of her new music in this interview. 

Tess comes from a musical family; her mom & sibs are singer/songwriters and she had a cousin, Carly Henley, who died tragically young, but had also written and recorded many songs before her death.  Tess and her family honored Carly by fulfilling her dream of recording a full length album, coming together with the Seattle musical community to make it happen.  We'll play some of that music, too.
