Tonight's guest is Patrick M. Bettendorf, author of the book Ruby's Tale: A True Rags to Riches Story. His dog Ruby was left to die in an abandoned house as a puppy. Since her rescue she has gone on to take our family on a wild and wonderful odyssey:

Little Ruby flew to Hollywood for an appearance on National television with Bonnie Hunt,  was inducted into the MVMA Animal Hall of Fame, acted in stage plays, her picture is on boxes of Milk-bone dog biscuits. Ruby became a certified therapy dog, then a service dog and works with children in a reading program at Stillwater Library, and a whole lot more.
