On May 23, 2011, at least three tornados touched down in the Minneapolis area, causing the most damage to Minneapolis' Jordan neighborhood. The area suffered so much damage with downed trees, power lines and destroyed homes it has been declared a disaster area.

With us tonight are people who have stepped forward to help the pets and their people through this devastating experience.  Guests include Katie Paulson, who, seeing a need to help the pets and their people of the area, started the North Minneapolis Facebook page, Kim Carrier who founded The Pet Project and is overseeing the deliveries of food and supplies to the area,  and Kris Sattler, foster coordinator of Pennies4Paws, who is working to reunite lost pets with their families and Jeanette Wiedemeier Bower, Program Development Coordinator for the Minneapolis Animal Care & Control, known as MACC.

Even though this occurred a couple of weeks ago, help is still needed, and they will be sharing ways that you can help.
