Does God care about what you wear?
Back in the day, well, many years ago when I was younger, I remember the strict rules that governed the churches that I grew up in. The rules specifically seemed to target women, as the men’s mode of attire hasn’t changed in centuries.
Women were required to cover their hair, wear dresses that covered their knee caps, and couldn’t wear trousers or make-up amongst other rules. As the church has evolved and become lenient on issues such as the conservative dress code, it has had its positive and negative impact. Churches in the city have seem the greatest change, with ladies getting away with wearing skimpy dresses, short shorts, and dresses far too short that the wearer is obviously also uncomfortable.
What then do we think is proper, acceptable, or decent, should churches tell you what to wear? Join us on Thursday 7 pm WST, 9 pm CST 10pm EST, and Friday 6am in Kenya for this discussion and many more.
