SPECIAL GUEST - COLIN HEPPELL

COLIN HEPPELL  is originally from Newcastle in the North East,  but is now based near Preston in North West England. 

  

     He only discovered his talent for songwriting a few years ago but is a very prolific writer and recently completed his 4th album "Songs From Adam's Room".

 

    The songs from that and the previous albums "Hope In My Heart", "Around",  and "Dreams & Demons" can be heard on the player on the "Music" page and can all be bought from the "Music Store page

 

   His songs are written from the heart and have meaningful lyrics, and catchy melodies.  He writes within a variety of genres but specialises in emotional ballads and the sort of  pop tunes you just can't help singing along with.

 

   Colin says "I like songs that grow on you and that have strong lyrics and interesting melodies. My writing influences are: Bruce Springsteen, The Feeling, Bob Dylan and Lennon & McCartney.  Others I like are: Tom Waits, Keane, Paul Simon, Kaiser Chiefs, Snow Patrol, Crosby, Stills & Nash, Amy MacDonald, Neil Young, Paolo Nutini, Rolling Stones, Oasis, Killers, REM, Queen, Buddy Holly and Jon Allen." 

 

   Colin is a member of the Guild of International Songwriters and Composers (UK) and he Colin achieved 11 semi-final positions with 6 songs in the 2009 UK Songwriting Contest.
