    Standing Firm in Christ - No Compromise

    in The Bible

    Colossians 3:1-4 If ye then be risen with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ sitteth on the right hand of God.

    2 Set your affection on things above, not on things on the earth.

    3 For ye are dead, and your life is hid with Christ in God.

    4 When Christ, who is our life, shall appear, then shall ye also appear with him in glory.

    Colossians 3:8-10

    8 But now ye also put off all these; anger, wrath, malice, blasphemy, filthy communication out of your mouth.

    9 Lie not one to another, seeing that ye have put off the old man with his deeds;

    2 Corinthians 5:17 Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.

    John 8:31-32 Then said Jesus to those Jews which believed on him, If ye continue in my word, then are ye my disciples indeed;

    32 And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.

    10 And have put on the new man, which is renewed in knowledge after the image of him that created him:

    Ephesians 6:14Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness;

    Acts 4:19-20 But Peter and John answered and said unto them, Whether it be right in the sight of God to hearken unto you more than unto God, judge ye.

    20 For we cannot but speak the things which we have seen and heard.

    Colossians 2:6-10As ye have therefore received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk ye in him:

    7 Rooted and built up in him, and stablished in the faith, as ye have been taught, abounding therein with thanksgiving.

    8 Beware lest any man spoil you through philosophy and vain deceit, after the tradition of men, after the rudiments of the world, and not after Christ.

    9 For in him dwelleth all the fulness of the Godhead bodily.

    10 And ye are complete in him, which is the head of all principality and power:

    One of the most common causes of divorce is the inability to compromise and communicate on important issues.  Over time, this can cause the breadown of many marriages.  At the same time, when a divorce is filed, many often assume parties should be able to communciate effectively and compromise to settle the divorce.  The reality is this is hard for couples who had a hard time communicating and compromising in the first place.

    You can read more on this topic in an article titled: Inability to compromise is a cause of divorce.  You can also find out more about our Missouri and Illinois Uncontested Divorce Lawyers in St. Louis, Kansas City and Beyond at 1-855-805-0595.

    Standing Firm in Christ - No Compromise

    in The Bible

    Ephesians 6:10-18-10 Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might.

    11 Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.

    12 For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.

    13 Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.

    14 Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness;

    15 And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace;

    16 Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked.

    17 And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God:

    18 Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints;
