Interesting fact: Like many journalism graduates he dreamed of writing “The Great American Novel.” He started it after college graduation, then marriage, two kids, and work (i.e. “life”) intervened. In 2008 found a green folder with 53 pages of his original novel in filing cabinet. Retired, he set out to and did finish “A Body To Bones, First Skeleton Series Mystery” and it was published in 2009. (See separate “Winners Circle” press release for listing of novels. The list does not include a short story “Amanda” published February 2014 or “Adolph’s Gold,” a novel-length mystery released March 13, 2014. This makes a total of five novels and one short story collection in addition to “Amanda.”He was featured by the Iowa City (Iowa) Press-Citizen in 2010 as “someone you should know” for his worthy contributions to his profession and the community.
Residence: A native of Ireland, he has lived in the Illinois/Iowa Quad Cities since 1989. After two decades as a corporate executive for a national newspaper chain, a national food service management corporation and an international chemical corporation, he practiced law in his own firm for fifteen years.
