I am excited to have Monique from Brown Vegan coming on the show. Even though I became a vegetarian in 2013, I am now in a phase where I want to transition to becoming a vegan. Therefore, I wanted Monique to come on the show and share her journey. I found Monique on YouTube I believe last year. Her videos are great especially for those who are struggling with giving up certain foods where they can substitute them with other plant based options. I also enjoy the fact that she has a family which is helpful for those with children and/or a spouse. Yes, children can be vegan too! Of course I would suggest checking with a pediatrician and/or nutritionist as well, especially one who will be encouraging of this lifestyle with children (many of them promote meat and dairy diets).
The Bible speaks on how our bodies are the temples. I believe this also includes what we put inside of it. I do not believe that we should just put anything in our bodies, but to be conscious of what we are putting in it. This is not a show to force veganism down anyone's throats, but based on how the world is going, I strongly believe we should try to avoid and/or limit a lot of the foods we are used to eating.
I hope this show will encourage those who are considering a vegan lifestyle or those who have already begun to embark on this journey. I am looking forward to learning about more options and ideas that Monique has. She has a lot of resources on her website as well, which I will place below.

Knowing who you are and what you bring to the table is half the battle; the other half is knowing what type of person you want to be with and what qualities you are looking for in a mate. What have your relationships been based on? Does faith play a role in it? Does Faith help or hinder a relationship? #Faithbased relationships
"They will claim this is a ‘war on coal’ to scare up votes, even as they ignore my plan to actually invest in revitalizing coal country and supporting health care and retirement for coal miners and their families and retraining those workers for better paying jobs and healthier jobs,Communities across America have been losing coal jobs for decades,” the president said. I want to work with Congress to help them, not to use them as a political football. Partisan press releases aren’t going to help those families.” President Obama
"It's hard to draw any other conclusion than this: The people who will suffer the most from this rule are working and retired coal miners and their families, primarily in Appalachia. These hard-working miners have given their health, their limbs and far too often their lives to create the foundation of the America we live in today. We cannot solve global climate change on their backs. They deserve much better than the fate this rule has in store in them.United Mine Workers of America
“After an initial review, it appears the Environmental Protection Agency has made some changes to the proposed Clean Power Plan rule; however, those limited changes still leave us with proposed regulations that are unreasonable, unrealistic and ultimately unattainable for our state. While those who employ our hardworking miners have urged us to refuse to submit a compliance plan, at this point West Virginia still has not determined whether it will submit any plan to the EPA.Gov.
