The Unloved Wife and You (Deuteronomy 21)

    in Christianity

    Deuteronomy 21:15-17

    New King James Version (NKJV)

    Firstborn Inheritance Rights

15 “If a man has two wives, one loved and the other unloved, and they have borne him children, both the loved and the unloved, and if the firstborn son is of her who is unloved,16 then it shall be, on the day he bequeaths his possessions to his sons, that he must not bestow firstborn status on the son of the loved wife in preference to the son of the unloved, the true firstborn. 17 But he shall acknowledge the son of the unloved wife as the firstborn by giving him a double portion of all that he has, for he is the beginning of his strength; the right of the firstborn is his.

As a child, I experienced a lot of physical abuse from my mother. It was an upbringing with no kisses or cuddling. At the age of seventeen I left home in a panic and spent the night in a refuge center feeling unloved and unwanted. I went on to raise a family. No matter what was happening in my life I always looked on the bright side. At one point I invested in a life coaching course and NLP. I understand thoughts and feelings so well that my mission in life is to help women love, forgive, and accept themselves.

    Jo Wu speaks on depression

    in Christianity

Jo grew up in New Jersey and moved to Boston in 2004 for school in pursuing her degree in Education.  She has always wanted to be a teacher because the first people in her life to inspire, encourage, and empower her were the teachers in her life.

While studying in college, God gave her a heart for the poor and oppressed. She became committed to urban education and got her degree in special education. Growing up, she always felt unloved, by her parents and everyone around her. It was hard for her to be Taiwanese-American in a predominantly white culture, and she hated herself. She struggled with her identity, never felt good enough, and suffered from depression and thoughts of suicide. Because she felt unloved, even though that wasn’t the case, she sought love from men.

After a failed relationship, she became severely depressed her last 3 years in Boston, became a workaholic, gymaholic, and had no friends. Months of counseling did nothing, but in an instant God healed her of depression! The effects of depression didn’t disappear instantly from her life, but buried deep within her was the joy of the Lord, the joy that comes from knowing God’s love. Nothing compares to the way God’s love has changed her life. It is the greatest gift she has ever received in life, and she wants everyone to experience the fullness of God’s love for themselves.

Her favorite scripture is Ephesians 3:16-21."
