This is the 1st radio broadcast for Mommy Universe's Mommy 2 Mommy. Single Moms, Adoptive moms, Moms of Teens, & Mom's of Children with Special Needs; Mommy Universe is here to help... you are NOT alone! I was chosen by God to be a single Mom of 6 ( 4 adopted & 2 biological). The very thing that we love to do, do without thinking, that can help others is the area that God wants to utilize you in. I am grateful for the opportunity to share what God has taught me. Thank you for being a part of this Powerful Movement. <3 RaMonda
The future of the world rests inside a woman, but what kind of future is there if a woman does not know who she is outside of motherhood? What good is she to the future of the world if she is so busy trying to hide the mess of her life that she fails to realize that she can't clean it all. There are some messes that require a deeper cleaning and if we as women don't turn to the true "stain lifter" then our mess spreads into the future that we are giving birth to.
Mommy Why's Your Skin So Brown? A mother's conversation with her bi-racial children.
Maria and Raquel discuss how being a parent of bi-racial children opens up a conversation about the new American family, how we can teach children about diversity, and looking beyond what is skin deep - the beauty that also resides within.
Maria Leonard Olsen is a freelance writer, author, attorney and radio talk show co-host in Washington, D.C. She has a book coming out on how the typical modern American family has changed so much in recent years. She has a children's book on her biracial family, "Mommy, Why's Your Skin So Brown?" (based on her experience of being mistaken as the nanny of her lighter-skinned children) and has written for the Washingtonian, Bethesda Magazine, and other publications. She has two grown children and lives in the D.C. area.
Host Raquel Benavidez is a blended, broken and dysfunctional family survivor. She has flourished in creating her own new family dynamic. One that is filled with love, support and acceptance for all. Connect with her on Facebook at It’s a Family Affair

Ramonda Moore-Brown is a 44 year old Panama City Florida native, single
of 6, & licensed minister. Her family is God's uniquely blended Masterpiece! She
has 2 biological daughters Ay-Lnde (17) & Zaydn' (12). She also has 4 amazing
adopted miracles Jhamyri (8), Jhariya (6), Jhakyri (4), & Jhakai (1). Ramonda
loves being a mother and considers it to be a blessing and an honor that God
would choose her for this assignment!
For 33 years she lived with self-hatred, anger, & bitterness. While battling
depression, anxiety, & low self-esteem, Ramonda attempted suicide! The force
she used to slit her wrist was so powerful that the knife's blade flew across the
room. However, there was barely a scratch on her arm. At that moment she
asked God why He was keeping her alive and why had He allowed her to
experience so much heartache and pain? His answer changed her life
FOREVER! He quickly let her know it was NOT about her. It was about the many
women she would one day encourage and inspire to overcome every obstacle
and walk freely in their purpose.
In 2008, Ramonda began the Women’s Empowerment Ministry that God named;
No More Broken Pieces. She has been faithful to this assignment that has birthed
the No More Broken Pieces Radio Show with RaMonda, From Broken To
Breakthrough Women’s Support Group on FaceBook, The No More Broken
Pieces Prayer & Praise Conference Call, & The No More Broken Pieces W.O.W.
