Today's show will look at the Trans Pacific Partnership and the attack on the draw mohammed contest in Texas.
Doing my best to help the Lord set the brushfires of freedom in the hearts of men and to restore America, God willing, to the beacon of freedom she was meant to be.
Politics: The Trans Pacific Partnership So bad, even the progressives don't want it. DWB says it will cost lives. What you should know .
Religion: Texas Freedom of Speech Freedom of Speech again - "Isis cure in Texas"
Doing What's Right: The first amendment Let's draw mohammed everywhere!
The Trans- Pacific Partnership (TPP) is a convoluted and controversial subject. Those against it are easy to find, but those who support it are a little more subdued.
For example, there are electoral ramifications: how much longer do we wait for Hillary to make her views known; what do we do if she supports it or remains evasive; where do other major party candidates, like Rand, Ted, and Marco, stand. Green Party Candidate Jill Stein has already announced that she is against passage of the TPP for example. How do we mobilize if it passes?
Let's bring it on! Guest co-hosts Jeanene Louden and Tim Danahey will lead the discussion.
Last year Cara Prior & her husband Scott Prior ran to represent their Legislative District 16 (Arizona House & Arizona Senate, respectively). In a difficult year for Democrats across the nation, Cara and Scott came up short on winning their seats in the legislature. If you ask many politicians, though, persistence pays off in politics for the hard-working & determined representatives of the people. Cara and Scott have again declared for the offices they sought last year.
Tune in to hear from these progressive champions as they launch their 2016 campaigns for House & Senate in Arizona Legislative District 16 out of Apache Junction, Arizona. The Priors are champions for the working and middle classes, animals, the environment, fair trade, the LBGT community, net neutrality and many other progressive causes. They are co-hosts of the show "Progressive Voices of AZ" on Fridays.
On a recent edition of "Progressive Voices of AZ," Cara and Scott hosted Arizona activist Yolanda Bejarano on stopping the Trans-Pacific Partnership (TPP) and the Fast Track option of said "free trade agreement" with Asian countries. As Ms. Bejarano will reveal, previous free trade agreements approved by the United States have been disasters for American job creation and have hurt America's workers, as well as the economy of the United States.
With progressive champions like Elizabeth Warren and Bernie Sanders in the U.S. Senate on her side, Ms. Bejarano joins The Social Spitball Show to get the rest of us on board to stopping the TPP and its Fast Track. Tune in and find out how you can help in this very important (and historic) effort!!
Barbara Dee & Bram Sarkowski are ready to "Put PROGRESS in Progressive" as we hear from these three progressive champions!!
Let's get the conversation going...
Wednesday, January 28, 6pm EST: Due to the profound importance of a what is called a trade agreement being negotiated in secrecy by heads of state of some 11 countries world-wide and the political, economic and jurisdictional implications of this, I am convening another Round Table this week on the subject of the Trans-Pacific Partnership, (TPP).
Joining in discussion with Mitchell is Arthur Stamoulis, Director of the Citizen’s Trade Campaign, Melinda St. Louis, International Campaigns Director with Public Citizen’s Global Trade Watch and Adam Weissman of Global Justice for Animals and the Environment.
Arthur Stamoulis is Executive Director of Citizens Trade Campaign, a national coalition of labor, environmental, family farm, consumer and human rights organizations working together for trade policies that promote a just and sustainable global economy.
Melinda St. Louis is International Campaigns Director with Public Citizen’s Global Trade Watch, where she works with international allies to roll back WTO financial deregulation and to stop expansion of harmful trade agreements.
Adam Weissman works with Global Justice for Animals and the Environment opposing trade agreements that endanger animals, the environment, food safety, and the human rights of communities on the frontlines of environmental struggles.
In December 2012, Mitchell interviewed Mitch Jones of Food & Water Watch on the TPP, and it’s clearly time to do so again in light of its potentially imminent signing.

Arthur Kanegis is a writer, producer, humanitarian and president of FutureWAVE (Working for Alternatives to Violence through Entertainment). It is a nonprofit organization dedicated to telling stories that help plant the seeds for a less violent and more peaceful world.
What if there were no wars? What if it was expected that we treat one another with respect and dignity because we are a planet of peacemaking individuals? What if each of us looked at humankind as if it was we were all on the same team? I mean look at us. How much of a stretch would that be? Despite some coloration and feature issues, don’t we share similar DNA? We are the same species and can procreate with one another. If an alien were to draw us, we would each have two legs, two arms, and a head. So what if that alien asked “Take me to your leader,” and the answer in our future world was, “It’s all of us?”
My guest on this show is Arthur Kanegis, who has created a documentary to help promote just such a world, called The World is My Country and features the life story of Garry Davis who was the first Citizen to become a World Citizen.
